Ship a Car Across Country

Cross-country car shipping is a long freight job with access rules at both ends — not a promised overnight or a blog average for every sedan.

Coast-to-coast is a range, not a date

Bigfella Auto Express coordinates cars, SUVs, and personal trucks across the 48 contiguous states. A Houston–Los Angeles haul, a Los Angeles–New York haul, and a Miami–Seattle-style run are different jobs. We do not currently book Alaska, Hawaii, or motorcycle-only shipments.

Cross-country miles are long. Typical transit is a multi-day range. Weather, mountain passes, the other vehicles on the same load, and whether both addresses can take a full-size hauler all change the window. We will not invent a guaranteed calendar day on this page.

Open transport is the usual choice for daily drivers. Enclosed is a $380 add-on in the Direct Quote when you select it and a covered trailer is available. Inoperable loading is a $200 add-on when the vehicle does not roll, steer, and brake.

Corridors people actually search

City-level guides still live under /routes. State-to-state pages live under state-to-state car shipping.

What changes a cross-country quote

Vehicle size, open vs enclosed, operable vs inoperable, borough or condo access, and whether a carrier is already heading that direction. Two quotes a week apart on the same cities can differ if truck supply changed. That is why this page does not publish a national average.

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to ship a car across the country?

Typical transit on a 1,500–2,800 mile corridor is a multi-day range, often about 4–9 days depending on the pair. Weather, access, and the assigned load can change the window. We do not guarantee a delivery date.

How much does it cost to ship a car across country?

It depends on the vehicle, both addresses, open or enclosed, and current carrier space. A blog average would be misleading. Get A Quote prices the actual shipment. $0 is charged today.

Do you ship from coast to coast?

Yes, throughout the 48 contiguous states. Alaska and Hawaii are outside this service.
